Carolyn "Kay" R. Lueck

Carolyn ‘Kay’ R. Lueck, 84 of Duluth, passed peacefully on September 26, 2026, at Benedictine Health Center. She was born in Duluth on September 24, 1942, to Oscar and Mae Carlson.

Carolyn attended Denfeld High School and went on to work at Viewcrest Nursing home in 1977, retiring in 2007 after 30 years of dedicated service caring for those who resided there. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren or finding ‘treasures’ while out at neighborhood yard sales.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Herb Thompson, George, Delbert, Richard, Carl and Warren Carlson, and sister Dorothy Carlson Archambeau. Carolyn is survived by her children Carrie (Tom) Larson, Paul (Wendy) Lueck and Kim (Greg) Billman; grandchildren; Michael Gregorich, Amanda, and Jennifer Larson, Jonathan Siefers, Yvette Jackson, Samantha (Hailey) Victor, Adena Lueck, Kyle (Abby) Lueck, Bailey Rosendahl, Jacob, Donn and Laura Billman great-grandchildren Benjamin, Kinsley, Oakley, Colt and Ashton Lueck, Jaxson Rosendahl, Willow Iverson, Brylee, Watson, and Aryia Billman, several nieces and nephews and her sister Elizabeth (Clair) Peltoma.

Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct. 29, 2026 in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805, from 5pm to 7pm and continues on Friday Oct. 30, 2026 from 11am until the Noon memorial Service in the funeral home.
