Carolyn Jane Coffman

Carolyn Jane Coffman, 76, born in Duluth, September 12th, 1946 to Robert J. and Mildred Nimmo passed away Friday, September 23rd, 2022. She graduated high school in 1964 from Duluth Central High School and went on to become an LPN for many years. She then became the Employee Assistance Councilor for St. Mary’s Medical Center. Her years of nursing and counseling were rewarding and she was able to harness her passion and strength of helping others.

 

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She provided many laughs with her joking personality especially with her brothers. She lit up the room with her smile and will be most remembered for her fun filled charisma. She had a genuine presence about her that made people want to be around her.

 

Carolyn is preceded in death by her Grandparents Charles and Beth Nimmo; J. Henry and Berthine Beck; Father, Robert Nimmo.

 

Carolyn is survived by her two children: Kirsten (Michael) Stellmaker, Duluth, MN; Kyle (Leta) Johnson, Earlysville, VA; Grandchildren: Noelle and Nicholas Stellmaker; Greyson Johnson; Mother: Mildred Nimmo, Duluth, MN; Brothers: Doug (Ginny) Nimmo, Plymouth, MN; Steve (Cindy) Nimmo, Layton, UT; Greg (Laura) Nimmo, Cloquet, MN; Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Join us to celebrate Carolyn’s life Saturday October 15th at First United Methodist Church, 1:00pm-2:00pm visitation, 2:00pm-3:00pm service. Coffee and desert will follow the service. Livestream service provided at First United Methodist Church Duluth YouTube Channel.
