Billie Jeanne May-Kolojeski

Billie Jeanne May-Kolojeski, 81, of Comstock Lake, passed away peacefully on Monday June 8, 2026, at Hilltop Healthcare. Billie was born in Detroit, MI, on March 12, 1945, to Junior and Dorothy May. Billie worked as an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance for many years in Duluth. Billie was an accomplished writer and won a scholarship in Journalism while attending college. She enjoyed wintering in Santa Barabara, CA, and for many years in Bullhead City, Arizona where she had a home. Billie loved music and played the guitar for friends and family. She was especially an animal lover, including her special dog Theo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three step grandchildren and her special dog Theo.

She is survived by her husband Robert Kolojeski, stepchildren Val (Roy) Campbell, Tori (Cory) Kyllonen, and Ginny Morris, and many step grandchildren and cousins. Billie Jean was loved by her family very much and enjoyed her cooking, her laughter, stories of her travels and youth and spending time on the boat fishing with her.
