Antonio V. Brown Sr.

Antonio Vassel Brown Sr., age 63 of Duluth died on June 30, 2026 in Minneapolis, MN from complications of an auto accident in February. He was born in Detroit, MI on June 25, 1963. He was proud to be from Detriot and was an avid supporter of all Detroit sports teams. He moved to Duluth and married Dawn Northrup, having two boys together. Antonio or ‘Detriot’ as his friends call him, had an impressive hat and shoe collection. In true Detroit fashion, Jordans were not part of his collection in solidarity with the Bad Boy Pistons. His greatest joy was watching his kids grow up, and cheering them on from the sidelines. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dawn; and mother, Katherine Carter Brown. Antonio is survived by his children, Antonio Brown Jr., Carter Brown, and Alyssa Northrup; sister, Cossa Brown; niece, Crystal Maxwell, nephew, Royal Maxwell, and many brothers, both biological and those who became like family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 24th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Waters Edge Community Church, 2202 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806. Interment at Sawyer Cemetery.
