Anthony Dewayne McCray

Anthony “Sleepy” Dewayne McCray age 46 of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2023. He was born in Chicago, IL on February 1, 1977 to parents Ollie & Lenora (Winters) McCray. Through his life, Anthony faced many hardships. But he never lost his happy-go-lucky attitude and zest for life. He worked detailing cars at Miller Hill Carwash. Anthony was a movie buff. He loved watching TV and learning random facts on the History Channel. He was engaged to the love of his life, Jeanne Sanchez.

He is survived by his fiancé, Jeanne Sanchez; children, Alita, Daquawn, Alyssa, and Benzion (Ben Ben) ; parents, Ollie & Lenora; siblings, Marcus, Ollie Jr., Shante’, Candice, Edmond, Brandi-Rose, and Andre; and many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with a Visitation beginning at 12noon in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E Second St., Duluth, MN 55805.
