Lillian G Petrovic, 91 passed away on February 4, 2019 in Cheyenne,WY. She was born November 26, 1927, in Hutter, MN to Elmer and Signe (Pudas) Nelson. She grew up in the Oslo, MN area, but like many of those who grew up in the Depression Era, her family moved many times. After the war, she lived in Eveleth, MN, where she met and married Victor Petrovic on June 9, 1952. They moved to Duluth, MN where she would live her entire life up until the past 4 years when she moved to Cheyenne, WY. Together, Lillian and Victor established Petrovic Jewelers in Lakeside, which they operated for 40 years, before their son Peter took over the business. Lillian was a member of St Michael’s parish, where she sang in the choir for 15 years. She was proud of her Norwegian and Swedish heritage. She loved playing the organ and guitar, dancing, painting, gardening, baking bread, sewing and quilting. Lillian and Vic enjoyed spending time at their lake cabin and loved to host family gatherings at their house and at the lake. Because she moved so much growing up, traveling seemed to be in her blood and there were lots of family camping trips and vacations to see many places around the country. She was happiest surrounded by family and friends. She was a loving Mother who lived life to the fullest.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Victor Petrovic; son, Peter; brothers, Elmer and William “Bill” Nelson; sisters, Helen Nelson and Dorothy Wisch.
